Well hello out there! Back to business as usual. Our trip to Alaska and Canada was awesome. I would go back there in a second. It was absolutely beautiful.
While I was away some NEW showed up. Woohoooo for NEW!
I saw this product as Quilt Market and it’s wonderful. It dissolves!!!
I also bought these hexies. Awesomeness!!! These are what we are using with the Chateau Hexagon BOM. The 1/2 inch ones. How cool that you don’t have to remove them.
There are 1 inch and 1/2 inch on the website.
Love these bags. Debbie and I saw them at market and we are going to make them when I visit her. Ok, not all of them. Maybe one!! Maybe!!! LOL
These are the two threads I use from Aurifil to do my buttonhole stitch on things. It’s 50wt and you can get black or red.
This is Mark Lipinski’s assortment of Aurifil threads. Citrus! They are under THREADS
LOVE this!!!! I’m going to be making a couple of these!! May even kit it, it’s so stinking cute.
Ohio Square Dance. Gotta make this.
LOVE these. I’ve already sold out and restocked. They are Russian Doll Sewing kits.
I started making this. So cute!!!
This stuff is awesome. If you make bags you will love it. Your bag will stand straight and tall. I hate a droopy bag, don’t you?
Lots of new fabrics. I’ll just show them all. You can find them under JUST ADDED
Yayyyyy I got my order for this BOM. Please let me know if you’re interested. It is the BFF BOM. I’m so excited to get it started. I will have it up on the website soon. But you can email me now.

Yep a Daisy Break!! We will be closed from Friday June 6th and will return June 19th. You can still order during that time but nothing will be shipped after this Thursday. Hunka is taking me on a cruise to Alaska for my birthday. And we are also going to drive to Canada and explore. I’ve always wanted to go to both places and so has he. It will be a fun trip I know.
Please remember you can order anytime just know that it won’t ship until we get back. I don’t think the Daisy Cottage men in my life want to be shipping orders out for me and I don’t think you want them to. :)
The Vignette issue 10 is on it’s way here from Australia. I will ship them as soon as I return unless they arrive before I leave them they will go out even as late as Friday afternoon.
Button Club has shipped as of today. Everyone should be getting them. We still have a few spots left if you are thinking of joining us. After these spots are gone, that’s it. It is sold out, Lynette has no more. I have a little kit on the website if your interested and are doing the BOM. It includes a little thing of applique glue, the dissolving hexies, the glue pen, thread and a little surprise for you. You can only order the kit if your doing the BOM right now. It’s under Chateau Hexagon Kit.
Christmas Sampler BOM we still have openings for. I’ve made a few blocks to take with me to buttonhole.
The BOM is listed under A Christmas Sampler on the website or under the Block of the Month category. You must purchase the book from me to participate in this. We will start in August.
If you are doing the Marmalade BOM with me I’ve put the new block tutorial up on the website. I’ve included a category to the right of the home page and it’s called tutorials so you should be able to click there and find others that I’ve done. If I did it right that is. I’m learning new things everyday about this website.
These are the four we’ve done so far.
I’ve ordered Rosalie Quinlans new Hexagon Stitchery block of the month. It should be here when I return home. If your interested please send me an email and let me know. I’m not sure of the cost right now but will know more soon. It is soooooo cute and everyone loves hexies right now.
Here’s a sneaky peak at a couple of her blocks. It’s toooooo cute. I will have a kit with the thread with this kit. I’m trying to get the fabric in a kit too. More on it later. But please let me know if your interested. So I know how many patterns to order. They come from Australia so it takes awhile for me to get.
I think that’s it for now. Gotta go pack. And ship more orders out before I leave.
Thank you all so much for your orders and support of me and my business. It’s going great all of a sudden and I couldn’t be happier. And patience, you are all so patient with me being sick and being away. Thank you!!!!!!!!!
One last thing, I’d like to ask you to pray for my customer Dianne Hamilton and her husband. Her husband has recently been diagnosed with brain cancer. It breaks my heart and it has truly shaken her life upside down. Prayers would be very much appreciated for both of them. My customers become my good friends and I truly mean that.
Here goes Block 4 in the Marmalade BOM. Your kits are in the mail if your doing kits with me.
This is the one we are making next. Block #4 It’s a 6 inch block
To make our 9 patch blocks you need to piece together two blues and one 1 1/2×6 inch strip. And one 1 1/2×3 inch strip just like I have mine laid out below.
Here they are all sewn together.
Next we cut. Cut sections into 1 1/2″ segments. You’ll need four of the blue with white and two of the white with blue.
Next we will sew these together to make our two nine patches. Lay your pieces out just like mine below and sew.
Tada now your have two 9 patches.
Now for part two of this block. You will need four floral 2 inch and four white 2 inch squares.
Next lay your ruler on the 45 degree angle and draw a line across all of the white squares
Sew on both sides 1/4 inch.
Cut down the center after you’ve sewn.
Open up and press all of them.
You should have 8 half square triangle blocks. Trim the blocks to 1 1/2″
Lay all your pieces out just like mine below. You will need to add four 1 1/2 inch white blocks to each of your two blocks to complete it. Can you see your two blocks?? Good job!!
Sew the three rows together and then join all three. Do this for both blocks.
There ya go.
Lay all four blocks out as below.
Sew together to complete your block.
Here are all four of our blocks so far.

This little piggy is back from market and she is tired. I used to be able to fly through market and still have energy. That doesn’t happen anymore. But it is still fun and this one was no different. We had such a good time. I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time. I loved hanging out with good friends, good food and good drinks. Loved seeing everyone that I haven’t seen in a year or so. Can’t wait for next Spring. I did bring home new. I’ll try and post a photo of everything I can right here.

There are more new items on the website and I’ll still be adding more. Along with a couple new BOM’s. Please take a look at the JUST ADDED category.
The newest BOM which is the button BOM from Lynette Anderson has shipped to me. It will be charged to your credit cards or Paypal as soon as it arrives. I’m also going to have a little kit you can buy with the little hexies that desolve in water and the glue pen she is using to stick the fabric down with and maybe the thread we need to stitch with. More on that when I get everything ready.
We still have openings if you’d like to join us.
The Farm Fresh BOM also is still available. I got to see the real quilt at market. I am in love!!!
This week I’ll be getting back into my routine and get the Christmas BOM kits out. This is kit 9 and our last one for that BOM. And orders that were placed I’ll get out too. Thank you for your patience while I was away.
The two tutorials I will finish up too. One for the zipper bag and one for the Marmalade BOM.
Please remember to pray for those poor people that were in the path of those horrible tornado’s. Oklahoma and the school children is just heart breaking! My thoughts and prayers go out to all of them.

Quilt Market!!! That’s all I can think about right now. I love going to market and reconnecting with all of my friends and meeting new ones. It’s like going to camp for me. And this year my best friend Debbie is going with me and again we will have connecting rooms with my friends Brenda and Sandy. FUN FUN FUN! We will be taking a ton of pictures to share and hopefully I’ll have a nice goodie bag to give away when I get back. So stay tuned for that.
Yesterday I got the cutest book from the man in the cute little brown shorts and the big truck. And right away I knew I had to do it as a block of the month. You can go sign up now on the website. I have spots left. I showed it on Facebook yesterday. This is the cutest book I’ve seen in quite awhile. Honestly, and everything inside I want to make. . I’ve listed the BOM as Farm Fresh but the quilt is really called Simple Life.
Now the block of the month. You must buy the book from me in order to do the block of the month. It is sold separately. All of the info on the block of the month is on the website.
Lori Holt’s and Riley Blake fabrics Bake Sale fabric has arrived. It is so cute I can’t wait to dive into that bundle. Here is the link to them on the website.
These are the prints I have in stock of Bake Sale. Plus the bundles. These are under the category Riley Blake.
I know this pattern has been around awhile but I’ve always wanted to make it. And finally I am.
Here are some of my Chubby Chicks. I’d be happy to make you a kit like mine if you want. Just send me a message.
Aren’t these cute? Needles in a matchbook. Much better than matches don’t ya think? Unless you need a fire then these will NOT help you.
Scarlet Red scissors are back in stock. I love the red pouch they come in too. You can find them here.
You can still sign up for the Chateau Hexagon BOM from Lynette Anderson too. Once these are gone it’s sold out. Canada residents will have to pay extra for shipping. Shipping in the US is included in the price.
Vignette 9 is on the websitefor PRESALE. It should be here soon. If your on auto ship I’ll be sending you an invoice when it ships to me. If you’re not sure you can email me to make sure you are on the list.
I won’t be shipping any orders after today. Anything ordered will go out once I return from Market. I will be checking emails if you have any questions.
I tried to link everything back to the website. I can’t promise you it worked on my first try but here’s hoping. * Ok I see the linkage isn’t working. Let me see if I can fix it. It doesn’t show up in a different color either. Grrrrrrrrrrr
Thank you for all of your support and business. It means the world to me and my little business.

Hi there!!!! What a beautiful day we are having today. But as you know that could change tomorrow. I planted some new Perennials this past weekend then I heard maybe snow a couple days ago. Nooooooo. I’m good to go with the snow for this year. Let’s move on shall we? After I show you one of my flowers that came up already. Unlike the Tulips I planted three years ago. :(
Good news!! Lynette Anderson has her new Button BOM ready. And I’ve signed up and you can join me by signing up on the website. Remember it’s a mystery so we don’t have a complete photo of the quilt. I can tell you it’s 26×37 and it’s a 9 month BOM. Lynette left a comment on my FB page letting us know that each month will include some piecing, embroidery and the hexagons of course. I’m excited about this one.
I finally finished this quilt. I have kits on the website or you can just order the book if you want to make one in your own colors.
You can find this kit on the website. 7 Days a Week it’s called.
This Pam Kitty zipper bag is going to be a tutorial. I’ll be posting it on my website if you want to make a couple of them. You can also order a kit if you want it like mine. The yellow zipper pull on the left is not included in the kit.
This kit is called Roadshow and you can find it on the website. I love this little quilt.
Vintage Star is the name of this kit. It’s actually Vintage Star 2 because I also have this kit in fall colors on the website.
I think that’s enough to let you think about today. I have lots more but don’t want to overload you. Plus me and my best friend Debbie will be heading to Quilt Market in a few weeks and then you know I’ll have more new.
Please remember that if you are overcharged shipping I always return it to you. If I forget you can feel free to let me know and I will take care of it right away. :)

I’m taking names of those that would want to join us again in the Button Club of the month from Lynette Anderson. I’m still waiting to see how many button kits I can get. It may not be as many as last year so if you want to join, please send me an email letting me know. Or you can Facebook me too at Daisy Cottage.
The cost should be around 21.00 each month including shipping. Not sure of the exact cost yet. Here is a sneak peak of it.
Have a great day!!
