Daisy Daisy Give me your answer do………

Posted May 22nd, 2011 in Coming Soon

Oh sorry, I got carried away there. I love that song.  Do you know it?

Hey I’m back!!!  Please tell me it’s ok.  Seriously tell me!!!   I’m on a roll with these blogs. I’ve been updating my Red Geranium Cottage blog and this one.  Are you checking them both out? Are you a follower on both of them?

Don’t think I forgot about doing give aways because I have not.  I’ve been gathering stuff for some lucky person.  And I’m still getting some of my orders and I want to add some new patterns to the give away. So please be patient it will be worth it and you know it will.  I hope the person that won last time I went to market enjoyed her stuff.  I’m not sure I ever heard from her.  :(

Remember every month  starting with May,  I’m giving away at $25 gift certificate to one lucky person that has placed an order for that month.  I may even up it to $50 after awhile because, well, that’s how I roll.

So this weekend I decided to not work on any orders and sew in my favorite part of the house. The basement.  Wanna see what I did? Well even if you don’t I’m gonna  show.  So you might want to log off if your not interested.  Just kidding!!  Don’t you dare log off.

This is a kit that’s been on the website. Red/Yellow 9 patch kit.  I just had the top done but decided it needed quilted.  It looks soooooo much better. I used my ladybug pattern to quilt it.  I could use that on everything. It’s giant ladybugs.

This background fabric to the best!!!  I love those little gnomes.  I’m working on another quilt using the Wee Folks line.  If it’s red and has polka dots, it’s mine!!

Doesn’t he make you smile?? I asked hubby that and his response was…………..”Does HE make me smile???”   lololol  I guess that’s my answer.

Next up for quilting is this one. It’s a kit too. Sorry it’s upside down.  I need to get this one going so I can put it on my front porch for the 4th of July.

The ducks are going on the back.  Because I think they are toooo cute too.  And the fabric is 50″ wide so no piecing that back.

There’s more but I think I best stop. Or the newsletter thingy wont let me send.

How about seeing some  Quilt Market? Do you not love Crabapple Hill patterns? Meg does the most beautiful work.  I love to do stitchery and have never made any of her things. But that’s going to change. I’m going to make a few of the new things we saw at market.  Here Meg is with my BFF Nancy.

This is one of her new designs. It was so pretty in person. Look at that RED!!! You know that is what drew me to it.  It’s called Joyful Poinsettias.  It’s on the website. Meg uses some great glittery looking Cosmo threads in her work and I have them on order.

Meg had a couple very cute new pillowcase patterns.  This is The Night Before Christmas Pillowcase.

Trim the Tree is this one.  How cute is it????  Very cute, that’s how cute!!!!  This might be the one I start with.

There is also a few new Halloween patterns on the website too.  This is one of them.  I love Halloween don’t you?  This is called Pumpkin Time, there is one pattern on the site called Which Witch’s Boot and Happy Happy Halloween Pillowcase pattern.

I’ll be back this week with another newsletter.  And some new block of the months.  A Christmas one, a Patriotic one, and just a plain old cute one.  I hope it’s ok if I bug you again mid week with another newsletter.  If not, you can always delete me.  But please don’t do that.  :(

One bit of info before I go.  I have to say that every order will at least go out Flat Rate Priority which will be the 5.00 charge. I just can’t keep shipping small orders in little envelopes because that is taking me so long to do plus I like to have the tracking info when I do send.  And after I buy envelopes, tape, my tissue paper and take it the P.O. it’s already cost me 5.00.   Also I’ve been trying to get orders out as fast as I can but that is not good enough for some.  So now I’m going to let you know that it could take as long as 6 days before I ship orders.  It is only me, I do it all and I can only do so much.  I think I’m pretty good at getting orders out. But every now and then it takes me a bit longer.  Life happens I guess you can say.  I’ll still try and get orders out quick but in case I don’t please don’t email me after two days and ask where your order is.  It will go out I promise!!  I do ship orders as I get them in. First in goes out first.  It’s just the way it is. Only fair.  I’ve gotten nasty emails with some saying that I MUST get the order one day, ship it out the next. PERIOD. Can I tell you that one  person who said that to me  got her close to 400.00 sent right back to her. And there was two others that got their money. I do not need the money that bad. Do not be rude to me!!  I do the best I can do.  If you did your order four days ago and your asking me where it is………….well give me time, it’s going to go out.  Maybe not quick enough for you but it will go out. I hate having to address this but it’s getting bad.  I don’t get why women have to be so rude.  There is  a nice way to email and ask about your order and that’s fine but nasty is not accepted here.  Sorry.

Ok, that’s my rant for the day!! I mean night!!  lolol  Lots of fun things to show so keep watching.  And thank you to all of you for your orders and the nice email you send me. Because I do get a lot of nice ones that outweigh the nasty ones.  So I thank you.

Sharon

Hi Sharon, I totally don’t understand rude people either. Personally, it doesn’t matter a bit to me when an order is mailed, it’s not like I don’t have a million things going on all at once amd wouldn’t have time to start something new right away anyway. Iove your web-site and the nice selection of cute, new and fun stuff. Plus you get Australian patterns which are sometimes hard to find. I just might be getting that Poinsettia Crabapple Hill pattern and floss, did not realize it was glittery, that’s awesome. Your Flag quilt is going to be so great on your front porch, I’m sure you’ll have it quilted up really cute. Im glad you and Nancy had fun at market. I enjoy your newsletters and blog entries.

Carol, thank you so much. That’s all very nice of you to say and I appreciate it very much. I try to be nice to every one of my customers but sometimes you just can’t please everyone right? So I delete them. lol
